what i started to notice was that the gernades in IGI 2 have a fiery explosion. ![???](http://www.gamingforums.com/images/smilies/CrashSmilies/violent-smiley-093.gif) ...but! all grenades are a black powder explosion that launch shrapnel ![:(](http://www.gamingforums.com/images/smilies/CrashSmilies/violent-smiley-090.gif) im not even sure that that type of grenade even exhists. ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) ...plus, why is it that some assault rifle rounds do more damage than others, but they all use 5.56 mm nato bullets exept for the g11 and the ak-47 once again an inaccuracy found ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Yeah i think your right. Maby they just do this so that you have more skill in the game. Better control over the different types of guns. Plus if they were same damege you could buy the cheapest guns right away instead of the more exspencive ones which should be better.Personaly i think that the MAC-10 is the best and fastest killing gun! ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png)
MAC-10 owns and its the cheapest auto matic, well except for the SMG2

actually in the wolrd of ammunition size istn everything, thus comes in the magnum and other loaded weapons. 2 things basically deteremine the damage the bullet will deliver. One is the size of the bullet fo course, and the other is its speed on impact. So the amount of gunpoowder packed behind the bullet in the shell deteremines how fast teh bullet will fly. So you can have two weapons of the same calibre with different speeds in bullets because of the shell size, of course there are standards to all this but i did know of two rifles who fire the same calibre but were incompatable because one's shell was larger than the other for improved speed and distance. But yea something like that.

good point knowledge, and another interesting thing can affect the damage a bullet does is the fact that they design some to tumble when the impact. In the case of the ak-74 and the ak-47 the ak-47 uses a larger bullet than its cousin, but the small bullet of the ak-74 was design to begin tumbling when it hits a target. It was designed this way because the smaller bullet needs less gun to fire it, hence the smaller size of the ak-74. This makes it lighter and easier to carry as well as lessened the recoil. The change also had another reason: the general idea was to injure the enemy as apposed to killing him. This decreases the morale of the other troops. It is alot easier to deal with a guy falling down next to you dead rather than he go kicking and screaming because he just got shot in the stomach. It then ties up more of the opposing forces resources to take care of the injured men. I think... ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)
