Running in to some goofy problems that I have Identified as holding my perf back, wondering if you guys
would be so kind as to list your sys specs and more specifically your vid card and current driver set, that is if your not having problems.
my sys looks like this![:(](http://www.gamingforums.com/images/smilies/CrashSmilies/violent-smiley-090.gif)
P4 1.7
asus p4t mobo
512 pc800 rambus
g4 ti4600 with what ever are the latest det drivers are
soundblaster live 5.1
I have been toying with my graphics settings for a while trying to get the terrain morphing problem down, they say that if you have a 1337 sys you can slide the terrain up all the way to prevent morphing without a per hit, I know my sys doesn't meet those req but the fps under normal gameplay doens't take a hit when this setting is all the way up. To explain it vaugely lets say your stading on the roof of obj 3 on redstone and I'm in the rocket tower, at times you can stand still and shoot me and I'll I see is the roof, I have to change my angle or get closer before it will even draw you, I lose allot of fire fights because the other person isn't even showing up on my screen. Heck when I'm at 1/1 spawn on timberland and I go up the hill just a little bit back and look at the house all I see is the house, no trees or shed. This is just one of the problems I have, I also think my mx700 by very nature of being cordless my be attributing to my lag so I'm going to go back to my dual optical for now. Anyhow, if anyone has any suggestions they would be much welcomed. Thx
edit, to give u an idea of how close this ocurrs, in temple, that staircaise inside that leads up to that second comp, if you stand at the base of the stairs and look to your right there are some metal boxes stacked up, I think they are a green color, well those dont get dawn at all until I move closer to them than the staircase, if I move slowly I can see them being drawn one at a time, all I see is a shadow on the floor where the boxes are and I can see the wall behind them. When this happens inside a building this is pretty bad.
