Awesome I hope this will start getting more and more gamers......ESPECIALLY USA involved with this game. Server population has been kind of low lately.
Then again Yesterday Was APRIL 1st. ;D

echhh im not thrilled about map editors, there were thousands of maps in cs, mostly made by ppl with no skill, the maps were horrible, they looked like crap, horribly unbalanced and poorly thought out, Id rather sit and wait for the decent maps made by the peopl who know the full capabilites of the game, namely the game makers themselves, sure they mess up but we all do, but they always put out the best maps in my opinion.

To tell you the truth, i am not a big fan of M.E also. I truly see no point in them. Yes, I might create a few good ones way LATER in the future just a few and we will not play them much, just a few times for the fun of it. But we mostly will be playing "Stock Maps" over and over and over. Reason for this is because you think you know the map, but you really don’t, every time you play the map you learn something new. I played df2 for 2 years and I bet if i go play the maps again, I would learn something again. You might not learn as quick, but you will find better spots and understand the map better.
The main reason is we compete on stock maps. So the more we play stock maps the better we get. Just a little tradition from DF2 ;D

oh i love map editors, but i am into 3D stuff and hope to do it for a living soon. They are great for trying to implement those ideas that you wish the current maps have but dont. or even recreating the current maps and making them your own way.
Whats arguable more important alltogether is that editors can give you an insite into the way that the game runs, and you can use that to your advantage ;D
