Any suggestions guys? Not going to be using it for hardcore gaming but would like a decent graphics card for single player games RTS and Sim type games. Mostly want it for work purposes to keep track of clients, surf the internet and check email while at work. Not look to spend a lot. Want to try and keep it in the $700 or less range if possible. I know that doesn't leave me with many options at that price, but for what I will be using it for, it should be fine.
What brands are good and so forth?

Dell, from what I have dealt with in corporate land they are the best but far from great. Compaq, HP, Alienware, etc. all have way more technical issues and their customer service is some how worse than dell. And I am sure they have something that will work good for you at the 700$ mark.

Although Dell is better then HP, thats a 100% fact right their, i would much rather go with a SONY or an apple..... Alienware overheats and it was a good attemp making a gamers laptop..... . but im not a fan of them as well..... i have a HP 2.8ghz with 80g HD and 1g of ram. But like i said i wish i had a SONY or even an apple.

You can get a Sony Vaio for $700?? I did not realize they had gotten that low. In that case, yeah the Sony is definitely a higher quality product. Just so you know, I use an Apple Macbook Pro. Pricey and has some issues but pretty and useful, like all apple products.

I got myself a laptop last year and got a Dell, very nice buy. Drivers are easy to find, laptop runs great, you can easily change parts yourself(guides are on the dell website).
So if you buy a 700$ laptop and wanna upgrade quite easily go with dell.
I can tell ya that Toshiba totaly sucks, a friend of mine has one and he's quite disappointed. Driver installation is a hassle....stuff like that.
When buying your laptop, consider getting one of the new Intel processors(Core 2 Duo) , do not get integrated graphics...that totally sucks. You are better putting any not integrated card even if that costs you 30-50-75$ more.
get 2 gb of ram if you have vista, 1gb will do but you will regret in future...that was my case, I just got myself 2gb. Vista is a lot smoother.
Hope that helps.

The truck I would replace is a 2000 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab with just under 120,000 miles on it. I'm looking at the same type of truck only Toyota's version with the Tacoma. $26,609 was the MSRP I figured out. Trade value for my truck is around $5,000. Hoping if I do buy the truck I can talk the guy in dropping it down to just around $18,000 that I got to spend after trade-in.

Just sell your 50 foot yacht and then you'll be able to afford it.

Just sell your 50 foot yacht and then you'll be able to afford it. Did, about a month ago. Money from that is going back into my "house fund."
