Alright guys, question. Im trying to get my Nintendo USB WiFi connector to work for my PS3. Now the PS3 is finding it with a strong single BUT I am having trouble finding a SSID # so it will fully connect with it. Anyone got any suggestions how I can find it?

This is just a guess, but since it's wireless, you would need to know a frequency and something to grab the frequency with... if that can help, maybe a wireless router would pick it up but i wouldn't be sure about it....
PS3 with a Wii controller would be sweeet!!
Have you looked on Wii forums and such, because ive heard people have done what you are trying to do, so the information is not far out...

Has nothing to do with the Wii man. Im just trying to get my PS3 to connect to my WiFi connector so I can get on the net with the thing. I don't have a wireless rounter which is why I am trying to get this to work. It should work in theory, I just need to figure out what the SSID # is for my WiFi connector.

Oh my mistake I misread what you wrote! Follow this link, they talk about making it SoftAp, seems like it would work with a lot of things like a psp, so I'm confident about this link... www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=36057I think might help, let me know if it's closer to what you're looking for, P.S. I'm pretty sure you will require a wireless router unless your WiFi Connector is plugged directly to a PC or a web connection

Haven't had time to try anything. The link you sent me has me uninstalling and installing stuff. Didn't think I would have to do all that. I will just go out and buy a cable and run it from the router.

going out on a limb here, But if you were going wireless, wouldn't there have to be a wireless router involved somewhere to be broadcasting an SSID for you to connect to? When seeting up my ps3 I basically allowed my router to broadcast then configured the ps3 and then hid the SSID again from the router side.....
Then again maybe I am missing something...
edit - of course i was missing something......did not realize that this plugs into the usb port of your pc....duh. Nee to do my research before spouting off
