forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=40809The Veteran's program adds a note on your name signifying that you have played BF2 "Tour of Duty" and shows up to other players... In addition to this mark, you get a free unlock from the start and you get a verbal taunt that players that haven't played BF2 before can't have! Look at the site and check out some of the unlocks for some of the classes!! Go to IGI.com and check out some of their videos of gameplay too. This looks like it is going to be a tight game... I just hope their patches aren't like BF2, but then again... it's EA... Just check it out!

This does soudn pretty cool, but the character limitation is only 14, needless to say myswelf and several others wont fit in there? Too bad, this would be a great oppertunity for us to all wear a joint tag for once!!!

It doesn't allow symbols, either, so our names will have to look like PhantomDS or KnowledgeDS (which fits, by the way).

Whoa, pretty sweet. What sucks is that I can't use a 3 letter name, so I had to use an underscore. UGF_

LOL, the game looks pretty cool overall, def gaining my interest. But I find this funnny, the squad leader gets this cool little buddy to follow him around and shoot stuff i guess But here is a gun drone from my table top 40K warhammer Tau army, interesting similiarties? another video game ripping off the table top community lol?

As long as you have your soldier name and pass you should be fine

It said my desired BF2 name was too short when I entered UGF.

UPDATE:
The recently announced Veterans Program gives everyone who has played Battlefield 2 the ability to reserve a soldier name and receive an immediate boost in rank so that they are able to hit the field running. Many of you have established an identity as premiere players on the sandy streets of Karkand or in the skies above Wake Island. This is your opportunity to continue building your legacy in a whole new Battlefield! Veterans also receive an exclusive in-game indicator of their Veterans status and a special verbal taunt in BF2 together with patch 1.4.

Now that Sf is out its like why even play Bf2. Although i think when 2142 comes out i will probably balance it with Sf. I dont even want to take the time to get this "special" veteran label.
